Image Resizing Tutorial
In this tutorial you are going to be shown how you resize your images individually (Tutorial 1) and in batches (Tutorial 2).
If you how not done so already; download and install WinGraphic. Tutorial 1 - Individual ResizingStep 1
 Open WinGraphic and selected Editor from the main menu.
HINT You can just double click on Editor.
Step 2

Next select the files you want to resize by pressing the “Add File” button.
HINT You can select multiple files by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on the desired images. Next click open, your images will appear in the image list. Step 3
 - Click on the first image in the image list - Right Click on the main image - Select Effects -> Resize -> Resize
HINT You can resize all of the loaded images at once by selecting all of the images in the image list and doing the above.
Step 4

This dialog provides you with many ways to resize your images.
Width The new width of the image
Height The new height of the image
Resize Type Usually used for batch conversions. It will only resize the image if it is larger or smaller than the selected size.
Resize Method The algorithm to use for resizing. When Undefined is selected, WinGraphic will select the best resize method for the image. You may want to try different methods to get the best quality resize.
Keep Aspect Ratio Will keep the same dimensions when resizing. WinGraphic looks at the smallest width or height when using the aspect ratio.
Width & Height as percent The values in the width and height boxes are interpreted as percent rather than the size in pixels. For example if this box is selected and you enter 200 in both the width and height boxes, the image will be resized to twice its size.
Enter in the values into this edit box; the above values will resize the image to 100 pixels keeping the aspect ratio.
Click on Ok to start the resize.
Step 5

The image has now been resized (keeping the aspect ratio). To save the image click the “Save Selected” button. It will then display a Save As dialog.
HINT If you have resized all of your images, you can click the Save All button. For automatic saving you can select Prompt, Overwrite, Append Number or Manual %0xd. Step 6

Select a directory and enter the filename of the new image. Then click the “Save” button.
The new resized file will now appear in the selected directory.
HINT You can select the Save as type drop down menu for a list of output image formats supported by WinGraphic.
Tutorial 2 - Batch ResizingStep 1

Select “Batch Conversion” and click on Ok.
Step 2

Click the “Add File” button. This will display an open dialog, select the files you wish to add for the batch conversion and click Open.
HINT If you have the full version if WinGraphic, you can select the Add Folder button to add a whole folder of images.
Step 3

Click the (+) button the select Resize -> Resize

HINT You can add other effects and operations to do while converting.
Step 5

- Select the output type, for example jpg for a JPEG image - Select the output folder to save your resized images into - Click Start to start the batch resize
You images should now be resized and saved into the format and directory you selected.
HINT If you have added images with the same name you can select Append Number from the When Encounter Same Filename menu.
